Gotta watch that mask! - on a serious note, shameful this hasn't been addressed sooner.

The military will take the problem seriously after they lose a couple Moslem transsexual pilots.

In the end, whether a solution means going back to liquid oxygen or totally replacing the OBOGS systems already fitted I have flown quite happily at 25000 feet in a glider with an oxygen bottle. I also had a bailout bottle good for a couple of minutes. "If it ain't broke don't fix it.
We have decades of fighters operating at extreme altitudes with no problems. The duration of their flights is rather minimal and the weight of oxygen bottles for short duration flights is also minimal. Screw the high tech oxygen regeneration system and give them oxygen bottles that have worked well for over 60 years.

Why is the USAF having so many F-35 issues? The USN and USMC have carrier versions that are already standing up.
