“God intends for us to take responsibility for how we treat God’s creation, and if we choose to use the thin shell of atmosphere surrounding our planet as an open sewer for 110-million tons of global-warming pollution every day, the consequences are attributable to us,” Gore told Interview Thursday.
“And if you are a believer, as I am, I think God intends for us to open our eyes and take responsibility for the moral consequences of our actions,” Gore said.

I actually met Gore once at a reception. I left thinking that there is something really “off” about him mentally. I am told he is very “well staffed (meaning handlers)”!
Body language and voice tone of the person telling me this was the same as when that statement was made about Byrd in his last few years.

Your post reminded me of when I listened to the commentary on a Futurama DVD. The writers are very liberal on that show and even they didn’t speak too highly of him when he was there.

Nah, he’s getting God a little misunderstood. God won’t let all of us die via intervention, but some of us will, as has always been the case. Because we all leave for our destiny in the next life. Even if you don’t believe in God, evolution and natural selection show that there will be surviving life forms that will evolve and the ecosystem will rebuild itself, and it will be over a long time, but it will happen with winners and losers.

Any believer who argues that “X cannot happen because God never allows anything bad to happen” is a blithering idiot.
This argument is used to claim that global warming is not happening, and that nobody is “born gay.”
Never mind that weather has killed hundreds of millions of people, and that babies are born every day without arms, legs, hearts, livers, brains, etc.
