Top Denver Sheriff Commanders Demoted For Preferential Treatment
CBS 4 ^ | June 9, 2017 | Brian Maass

DENVER – CBS4 has learned that former Denver Sheriff Gary Wilson has been demoted to the rank of Captain, and his sister, Phazaria Koonce, has been demoted from Captain to the rank of Sergeant after the Safety Department determined the two provided preferential treatment to the granddaughter of former Denver Mayor Wellington Webb.

In blistering disciplinary letters obtained by CBS4, Wilson’s behavior was called “borderline reckless” and his sister was called out for demonstrating “very poor judgment.”

The harsh disciplines- handed down Thursday- follow an incident last September at the downtown Denver detention facility. Jamie Webb, the granddaughter of former Mayor Wellington Webb and the niece of Manager of Safety Stephanie O’Malley, turned herself in at the jail on an outstanding warrant.

But in more than 60 pages of detail, investigators indicate that Wilson – who was a Division Chief at the time- and Koonce, attempted to have Webb rushed through the booking process , appear in court and released from jail much faster than other inmates. It was only when some of their subordinates blew the whistle that the preferential treatment came to a halt, according to the letters obtained by CBS4.

Denver has been liberalized and as such is a future Chicago.

The major had his phone number in a prostitute notebopl (proven by a Denver talk show host who called the number and got the clown’s voice message).

The major just signed legislation that will allow folks to take craps and pee in the streets. I am not kidding.

The governor (Chickenlooper) is a low-T wimpoid who would lose a fight with a chicken sandwich.

Hopefully, the mature counties in the state will surround Denver (and Boulder - a true seat of idiocy) and dare them to come out.

Meanwhile Old Joe Bide’s niece steals $100k and walks!

Justice in the Progressive America. Not to be confused with the United States of America.

Denver SO has been a big ol’ mess for years. Only good thing is, they only run the jails, they don’t do patrol.

demoted... demoted... behavior was called “borderline reckless” and ...“very poor judgment.”

Compare this to Mrs. Bill Clinton's gross negligence and lack of punishment in handling secret and top-secret documents under our espionage laws.

Demoted?! Fired is what should occur. Past time to hold police to the laws and regulations in the same manner as the public.

Nothing to see here folks, move along.

Just the former regime's cronies being recycled out and new ones reporting in.

Next batch will be just as corrupt and self-serving, I'm sure.

Affirmative Action hires. Lots of other crap in the article about the Denver sheriff’s office.

“Those who were punished for wrongdoing ranged in rank from young deputies to acting Maj. Phazaria Koonce, who was reprimanded in 2013 for a management style so harsh that employees said they were getting physically sick.”
