I think he's just trying to stop all the wives tales people spread about Scripture. Man was made in God's image. He breathed into his nostrils to make a living soul. A cat has no soul to go to heaven. People are special. Animals are food. This ignorance is how the same person that kills babies will march for kitties. They have no knowledge of God. You can be led into believing a man should be allowed to watch your daughter shower in school because He's confused. Things that seem obvious to a Christian become blurred to emotional zombies. I love cats and dogs and horses, but they aren't people. Why is it OK to eat a cow and not a horse. Well, you get the idea.

A cat is just another animal that lives and dies and is used by humans for whatever reason while it lives. Just as we won't be married to our spouse in Heaven, Oreo won't be waiting for Pence to pet him in Heaven. We won't have 15 wives on our own planets, and there aren't any virgins up there for us to commit murder for. There are no female angels in night gowns and no babies as angels. Children die and are saints in heaven just as we die and are saints in Heaven. Cherub's are actually pretty terrible creatures as they were put at the entrance to the Garden of Eden to keep us out. They are NOT little babies with wings on toilet paper wrappings. There is no sex in Heaven because we don't need to procreate. We will however, judge the angels if we get there. They long to look into this thing called Salvation that we have and they don't. There are so many tales spread by people that go to church twice a year, sometimes they need to be shown there is more to Bible study than they think.

Having said all that, I too mourn for Pence and family for the loss of their pet, but it is a pet and not human. They can buy another one by tomorrow.
