Just thought I'd mention for any people who don't follow UK politics closely that at the moment it is becoming important to look at the performance of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) based in Northern Ireland as well. On current forecasts, the Conservatives will fall just short of an overall majority. The handful of seats the DUP will win may well win enough seats to form a coalition with the Conservatives in that situation.

This would not be a good result for the Conservative party by any means, but it would still much better than a Labour government.

yes indeed.

DUP supporting a Tory minority government more likely than a coalition I think.

It was thought in 2015 that might be the result but Tories overperformed a little.

Another Tory gain in Scotland! Great night for Scottish Tories. They haven’t won more than one seat since 1992.
