If the Tories are stupid enough to let her stay in power they will be as guilty of sabotaging the country as Labour.

Let me explain a few reasons why this has happened. But to make a point first, there was nothing inherently wrong with her calling an election to strengthen her hand. She would have been mad not to.

However, from then on, she royally f****d it up.

1. Labour managed to tap in and exploit the youth vote and that was because of Corbyn.

2. Theresa May is a weak and ineffectual leader. She just didn’t look like a leader at any point of this campaign. It was a heavily controlled campaign. I’m sorry to say that Corbyn had what we would equate to Trump sized crowds, he engaged and struck a rapport with people inclined to his socialist point of view.

3. On top of the campaign, the Conservatives had a god awful manifesto. It was dire uninspiring and a sign of how the Tories took the support of the country for granted. They almost thought they could just turn up and be given a massive majority.

4. Linked to 3, Labour knowing full they wouldn’t be governing after the election, could promise all such of goodies and money in contrast.

5. The debates - May ducked out of a debate with Corbyn. Shocking decision and actually a sign of how pathetic and weak she is.

Two lesser reasons indicative of what a moronic country we are:

6. Brits LOVE to see the underdog do well. Its in our DNA - we love seeing losers win.

7. Brits LOVE to see a guaranteed winner LOSE.

The best thing that could happen is for her to go and Boris to take over. I’m not a fan of his, but he may well take some of the youth voters away.

The ultimate objective is a half decent Brexit that we can build on. Nothing else matters at the moment. I am usually a UKIP voter but I voted Tory this time around and I would again if we can get the Brexit we need.

UK, Germany, France have been lost for a long, long time. Thats how you get 20 year old terrorists who are native, but who are kids of radical refugees that migrated decades ago. They’ve been on this suicide march for awhile now. *shrugs*

I hear ya....watching Trump get clobbered these past few months has been dreadful. The West is on a suicide march in any event, lol, so there’s that. Best to go down swinging.

Oh, man, I feel for you. But hang tough. Remember, we made it through 8 years of Obama.

Next time, get the Russians to help... worked for us :-)

ha that would help. Actually my only loyalty in this election was towards Brexit - and that this is now in jeopardy is very concerning. But we’ll survive!

If the exit polls are correct, Europeans once again demonstrate why they are unfit for democracy and deserve the strong hands of a feudal aristocracy to govern them

Two full terms of Obama say what, then?

People don’t think rationally about politics. I think they’re just expressing their disappointment with her.

Why is Brexit in jeopardy?

Because negotiations on our departure are due to start in less than two weeks.

We now have a minority government that is seen as very weak.

The EU is demanding a divorce bill of tens of billions of pounds. There is immigration, law, economic deals to be decided - and much more.

May has severely weakened her hand, and already rumblings are that they will soften their tone. Fake plastic brexit is no brexit at all.

The only people in Europe worth anything anymore are the Eastern Europeans and Russians.

They have been living in an Obamaesque world for generations. After WW2, WE assumed the financial burden of protecting THEM from the soviets. This allowed them to put more money into cradle to grave social programs which enticed maggot Muslim invaders from Africa and Asia into their countries.

...Support from the DUP, which is in line with the Tories on most issues, pushes her over the threshold. Ironically, it means that her effective majority is 17 - exactly the same figure as when she triggered the election six weeks ago.....

A painful exercise in futility?

I was just thinking, earlier this morning, about how EVERYTHING that our dear troops and ALL of the Allied troops did/SACRIFICED for UK, et al, during WWII is exactly what is being allowed to creep/come back in. There and even here :(

So sad.

All good points. Not to mention her waffling on tax increases, and seeming to desperately toss in additional big spending campaign promises as she saw her numbers slipping. Her message should have been simple: a strong, independent Britain, with sound economic stewardship and an emphasis on protecting the country from terrorists. That she let a Marxist lunatic like Corbyn climb back into the election shows how inept she is.
