Hugh Hewitt is a MSM wannabe. Academic conservative not willing to smudge his resume with grease and grit necessary to make a difference in this WAR.
I will never forgive him for trying to trap Ben Carson in the debates with a cheap gotcha question.

Lol, lefties have already found a way to make this about Russia. They’re claiming his firm took on Rosneft (big Russian oil/gas company) as client in 2015 when they were blacklisted by sanctions. Everything is Russia with them.

I’m always amazed at President Trump’s patience and restraint in timing events.
The President could have announced this weeks ago but waited for this moment to act.

Yep, love the timing. Sticking it in the face of Comey and the MSM.

The name I was told was was in the final group up til last week was Alan Dershowitz, a lib but a very strong track record of civil rights/privacy protection, a guy who had defended Trump.
I suspect he lost out due to lack of administrative experiebce over actual investigators. But boy he woukd have caused libs heads to explode trying to attack him.

” Everything is Russia with them.”
Why?
Why are they so afraid of Russia, maybe more than being scared of Trump?

That's an out of the box candidate, but he would have sucked at the job. I think the chain of command would have rolled all over him, he'd have been a figurehead, manipulated by the system he was supposed to manage.
I'm not sure Trump's pick is mercenary and brutal enough to clean house either.
