Actually, the best way to store fine sterling silver is in silver cloth, and within the silver cloth include several pieces of chalk (yes, the kind that teachers used to use to write on blackboards). The silver cloth plus the chalk will absorb sulfur in the air which is the main thing that causes silver to tarnish. Silver cloth can be bought fairly inexpensively by the yard on amazon.com and ebay.
