Times must be tough in the appliances sector - classic American home goods department store Sears has turned to commercializing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Now with your washer-dryer, customers can pick up a women's "Free Palestine" t-shirt in their choice of six colors.
The t-shirt features a fist in the colors of the Palestinian flag, with the words "Free Palestine, End Israeli Occupation" emblazoned on the front. The product description encourages shoppers to "Make a statement about the Arab-Israeli conflict with this powerful design."

“Free Palestine”?
You couldn’t pay me enough to take it.
Anything to make a buck I guess. It’s apparently time for Sears to go quietly and die. They’re about 90% there already
Reminds me of the other t-shirt/bumper sticker:
FREE TIBET
WITH PURCHASE
There goes my last dime ever to Sears.
No kidding. If by some miracle they survive, I will never shop there again even though I haven't shopped there in years anyway.
They’ve sold off most all of their brands of value. Diehard batteries, tools, etc...
Here’s the thing. You walk into any Sears in Texas, and see the T-shirts, and you ask someone who is eyeballing the shirts....what’s the Palestine thing about....they will respond that it’s a comedian who was arrested for Trump insults, or a new cheap soda which is being given away free for the initial period.
It doesn’t get much better if you selected college students from Louisiana Tech.
Sears channeling Kathy Griffin in race to the bottom
of the barrel.
Great - another business to boycott that I don’t shop at anyhow.
To be fair, this is not a shirt being sold at “Sears.” It is on their website that you can purchase shirts through Spreadshirt. Anybody can go to Spreadshirt and for a few bucks design a T-shirt and put it up for sale. This is not Sears. This is simply the fact that they have a link to spread shirt.
If you going to take a side shouldn’t you take a glance at the census data? Sad to see a once great US commercial institution on the skids embrace a death wish. Maybe they think the snowflakes will think this is great and start going to Sears, as if. Idiots.
Ok, in that case maybe they can respond in the same manner that multiple retailers did to the Confederate Flag being sold on a link via Amazon or Wal-Mart?
That’s what I was thinking. Its not in their stores on the shelves.
There are a small number of items I still buy from Sears, and one is on my list for this week. Unfortunately for them, I would rather “Make a statement about the Arab-Israeli conflict.” Sears is now dead to me - permanently.
After double checking the story, I just sent the following to ncr@sears.com:
It was with great anger, followed by sadness that I learned Sears has the temerity to start selling Free Palestine/End Israeli occupation T-Shirts. Not only is this factually incorrect (Modern Israel was created by agreement of the UN in 1948 and there is not nor has never been a Palestine) but it is offensive to Jews and supporters of Israel, our ONLY ally in the Middle East.
You, of course, may choose to sell whatever products you feel are necessary to attempt to save your sinking ship.
I, who have spent thousands of dollars purchasing Sears/Kenmore appliances, most recently a few years ago, will never again spend one dime at Sears.
You have chosen your direction and I have chosen mine.
Good luck saving your company by alienating more than half your customer base.
Sincerely
(FD’s real name)
Sears customer from 1975 to 2017
In Texas, most would wonder why Palestine, Texas needs to be freed.
So many boycotts, so little time . . .
.... You walk into any Sears in Texas, and see the T-shirts....It doesnt get much better if you selected college students from Louisiana Tech...
A Texan’s worst nightmare is to wake up some morning and find out that Texas is actually part of Louisiana.
Pol Pot’s army wore Sears Black pajamas as uniforms.
