Bahrain announced early Monday that it is severing diplomatic relations with neighboring Qatar and cutting air and sea connections with Doha, accusing it of meddling in its internal affairs. Saudi Arabia then did the same, citing “national security.”

Bahrain’s state news agency said in a brief statement that Qatari citizens have 14 days to leave the country.

It accused Doha of supporting terrorism and meddling in Manama’s internal affairs.

Citing “protection of national security,” Riyadh then announced it was also severing ties with Doha and closing off all land, sea and air contacts, the Saudi state agency said in a statement, cited by Reuters.

WOW! This may be a great time for the USA to crank up the pressure on Qatar. They have played a terrible role, helping terrorists and destabilizing Syria to the benefit of ISIS.

It’s interesting how all of these countries moved at the same time to cut relations with Qatar.

The Arab Coalition has suspended Qatar’s involvement in Yemen.

I wonder if President Trump’s visit had anything to do with this?

This is important and also represents the break up of the Gulf Cooperation Council. I believe this is also one of the countries that Obama bought a villa in.

Interesting times.

The other muslim nations have been discussing doing just this for quite some time...Qatar is funding the terrorists and they’ve warned Qatar many times they would cut them off if they persisted.

Countries like Bahrain and Saudi Arabia may hate our guts, but are they going to give up their western lifestyles, the luxurious mansions and their fleet of Rolls or Bentleys to show solidarity and support for Quatar? Money talks and everything else walks.

Qatar is a very small but wealthy nation. Hillary sent scads of money there from the Clinton Foundation once they began investigating the foundation.
