If you look at this from the prospective of helping Hillary beat Bernie, it’s brilliant. You go and find five or six states where you think the Bernie affect may be too much, and you throw this polling station problem into the mix. Here and there, you deny fifty Bernie voters...when the state tally comes in...Hillary wins. 2016 was as much about Hillary beating an larger-than-life Democratic candidate (same problem as in 2008). Except in this case, the party sought to protect Hillary. Makes perfect sense.
