There was a sales spike when the movie came out. People will buy anything that shoots, and has a movie cachet, just for fun.

You'll admit tho, it isn't a good CCW hideout, or even an open carry...

No, it’s not a good option for concealed carry.
I have a Model 28, same gun in .357, great gun to shoot.
I can hit bowling pins at 75 yards.
My brother-in-law has the Model 29, I only shoot it with .44 special I it. It’s great with that load.
Just not comfortable to shoot with magnums.
