The reverse should be the case — the US can supply the world with lots of clean energy in the form of LNG.
Why do you think that the US has such a huge trade deal with China where we will supply the country with LNG so that China will no longer be dependent on coal from NKorea?
Overall, the manufacture, distribution, installation etc. of wind turbines and solar systems consume more energy than they produce.
Same thing with electric cars.
The government and industry hide the data on the financial and ecological cost of manufacturing and deactivating electric car batteries to make them seem more environmentally friendly.
