There are 53,000+ Americans and their families stationed in Germany. That’s a lot of money going into the German economy.

That money America pays Germany for use of bases there could be better utilized for say securing our southern border? i’m sure Ft. Bliss and other bases close to the border could expand operations to accommodate addition troops.

A few years ago, we have friends who didn't know each other at that time, who went to Germany for a few weeks.

Both guys served in the Army in Germany during the cold war. One is a West Point Grad, and the other was an ASA officer.

They could not believe the size of our military footprint and the number of American soldiers still in Germany years after the cold war was over.

They said we probably employed twice to three times as many Germans as our GI's.

Both guys said it was a huge waste of money, material and man power.

It is time to call back those troops and as you noted put them on our borders and then raiding drug cartels south of our borders.
