They need to put up statues of the many, historic, black slave OWNERs of New Orleans. Not near enough folks, of any races, are aware of their contributions.
The descendants of black slave owners are the society elite of N.O. the wealthy descendants of my ancestors are among them.(My direct ancestor was one of the younger sons who inherited nothing from the plantation.) Those uptown socialites are falling over themselves supporting the dominant black “leaders”. Kissing up in hopes they will not be targets. The latest is they want Jackson Square renamed for Harriet Tubman and Lee Circle for Dorothy Mae Taylor. OY!!
