I think my previous post shows my confusion.
I always donate. I don’t check “where the donations go.” I don’t really care, except that we had some severe breakdowns this year, and I just found out how much the site makes through donations. I’d like to have a way to correlate, to legitimately donate to keep the site going. Does that make sense? And I mean it in a loving way Because I am ready to send a donation. I just want to hear something about how we can all help to prevent such a thing.
Just to be clear, I am just a supporter and in no way connected to FR. I have never been a mod ever, I have never been to a freeper get-together, and I’ve never met or talked to Jim or John Robinson or any mod or anyone connected to FR.
Also, I’m not a techie either. I’m a retired army chaplain. I can barely explain the difference between memory and speed.
So, bottom line is that I’m giving you my conjecture. I don’t know.
I have, however, used other sites , and I know what’s complete and easy to use and what isn’t. FR is the best I’ve seen.
That makes me think it’s worth a fortune, but the ownership hasn’t pursued that. That has resulted in my trusting them.
So, bottom line, that is one reason I support DR.
