Nixon’s biggest “crime” was being involved in the prosecution of Alger Hiss - the Democrats seized on the opportunity to get revenge.
He might have said what WJC said, “Well, we’ll just have win, then!” (when he was told by an adviser that the American people could get past adultery but not perjury).

I understand. My comment was more about the Clintons than Nixon. And it’s the thinking on the left today, win at all costs. Nothing is more important than them coming out on top.
Nixon did what at that time was considered the honourable (British spelling intentional) thing and resigned rather than harm the office and the country. And he also saw the writing on the wall with both houses of Congress, and the press, controlled by the opposition and run by people who hated his guts. He’d have lost and he knew it.

What Hitlary did was to try and make sure that Nixon had no legal representation at his impeachment. Which is of course unconstitutional.
She wanted to create false evidence, that is why he fired her.
looked like he was gonna survive...but after the one tape was released, he had lied to the country and his allies so much, his support in the house and senate was just swept away...Dems had both house’s of Congress, plus they were really starting to dig into his finances. The media beat him non stop for a year and a half. He did the right thing...Democrats finally got their payback for Alger Hiss.

It’s a huge mistake and a broken promise if Trump doesn’t seek justice for Mrs. Bill Clinton’s criminal deeds.
i was 15 at the time....i remember my mother was crying a little as we watched the speech. She thought actually removing him from office was wrong...censured maybe, but removing him upset her. It seemed like the whole Watergate thing went on and on...when actually, from start to finish just under 2 years...maybe like a year and half. The media today, every story is gonna be their “WATERGATE”....especially trash like Meagan Kelly....they all bow to Woodward and Commie Bernstein. While they did keep stories about Nixons aides in the paper, they didnt “crack this huge story” like its portrayed...never mind that they committed felonies in the progress with Mark Felt. The day James McCord was sentenced, he wrote his tell all letter to the judge which ripped it open...then 2 days later, John Dean flipped and that was all she wrote...they went down like dominoes, and damn fast considering.
She has absolutely no concept of truth or lies. To her “truth” is what ever she wants to say at the moment. She will have apologist come by later to correct the record for her.
After all this is the woman who told the public that her plane she was in landed quickly to avoid people shooting at her. That snipers were shooting at her at the airport in Bosnia. That she fainted because she dehydrated at the 9/11 memorial. That she was healthy. That there was a great right wing conspiracy. That it was the Russian who defeated her in the election. That Bill Clinton was a good husband.
The woman has proved that she is not capable of separating fact from fiction. And the public knows it.
