Democrats reeling from a devastating election face a daunting task: the 2018 Senate map.
It favors Republicans in a big way. The GOP will be defending just eight seats, while Democrats must fight for 23 — plus another two held by independents who caucus with Democrats.
What’s worse is the fact that many of the seats they must defend are in states won by Republican Donald Trump
. Midterm elections for sitting presidents are historically challenging. Democrats in the Senate are hoping to find some political momentum for 2018 given the difficult playing ground.

If Senate elections were like football games, the GOP could find a way to lose to a Division 3 school at home it seems.

The disgusting Sherrod Brown is up for reelection in Ohio.
“A term-limited Gov. John Kasich (R) could look to jump back to Congress, or state Treasurer Josh Mandel could look for a rematch against Brown, depending on who decides to run to replace Kasich.”
Praying Kasuck fades into the sunset forever, and Mandel runs and wins against Brown.
“Hatch, Flake, Corker and maybe Heller and Cruz need to be shown the door.”
Cruz has a conservative rating over 90% with every conservative group that rates candidates for their conservatism.
Two thirds of Republicans in Washington are fairly to extremely liberal.
Communists took over the Democrat party, and the old Democrats took over the Republican party.
It is pure stupidity to even think about trying to remove Cruz. It’s the kind of thing Al Franken would advocate.
Focus on the real problems, which include at least a third of the Senate Republicans who are left-of-center. Not Cruz.
I counted only 9 in the article, but I’m hopeful about Michigan, which wasn’t mentioned. Stabenow is looking pretty lithe, but she talks like an idiot. My dream opponent against her would be Ted Nugent, but I doubt he’ll run without a massive draft Ted movement.
It does. Like all leaders of a legislative caucus, McConnell reflects the strength and ideological composition of his caucus. A stronger and more conservative GOP Senate caucus inevitably means that McConnell will be stronger and more conservative as Senate Majority Leader.
I still stand by my prediction the Demcrats will retake control of the Senate and have a 50-50 shot at the House.
Congressional Republicans are a joke and have not one single accomplishment and have made it clear fighting and obstructing Trump is their priority.
Trumps base will stay home in 2018 if this continues. They wont come and vote if their only choices are obstructionists.
As long McCain is primaried out, I am good with that one.

Quite frankly, I couldn’t care less.
We are getting our illegal aliens out of the country, jobs are coming back everyday, and his tax cuts are solid, the dems and RINOs don't like it, but several things I like is: No Job, No Welfare; and the illegals that are still hiding here don't get money...
We are coming along...and President Trump is building a ‘terrorism’ collation to fight ISIS, and that includes John McCain and Egg McMuffin....
