How do you know it’s “late?” Did Trump have the right pieces in place? Did congress help him in any way? Were the right legal “i”s dotted and “t”s crossed?
The backseat driving gets annoying. And squelching leaks-—EVEN IF YOU KNOW WHO IT IS-—is tough. Yes, you can fire people, but prosecuting is a whole different animal.
So you fire them, you don’t send a message. You need to prosecute, which takes much longer than “2 months.”
Four months late, actually. Bannon should have been his CoS pick, but Trump erred yet again in listening to Jivanka.
I’m thrilled with this move that while four months late is certainly not a moment too soon.
