DHS chief: If you knew what I knew about terror, you’d ‘never leave the house’
The Hill ^ | Mark Hensch

Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly on Friday said the terror threat is worse than most realize, saying some people would "never leave the house" if they knew the truth.

“I was telling [Fox host] Steve [Doocy] on the way in here, if he knew what I knew about terrorism, he’d never leave the house in the morning,” Kelly said on “Fox & Friends.”

He noted there were four major terror attacks in the last week — in England, Egypt, the Philippines and Indonesia — "by generally the same groups."

“It’s everywhere. It’s constant. It’s nonstop. The good news for us in America is we have amazing people protecting us every day. But it can happen almost here anytime.”

In other words: “Feds need more snooping power”

They can’t say “Trump won the election so give us more power to stop the next ‘Trump’.” They can say “we’ll stop the next terror attack if we get more power”

They always claim a “trigger issue” like child porn, or drugs, or and lately terrorism for more power. There are 2 things they won’t admit

1) Out of 300+ million people, a few will do some very bad things. No amount of indiscriminate mass snooping will stop that.

2) More data does not make decisions better. More of “the right data” can. When they identify the “clues” from the last terrorist’s communications they will find 10s of 1000s of other people who match. And they will still miss the next bad guy while focusing on lots of not-so-bad guys who match the data. They have plenty of power to get “the right data” if they have good non-mass-data intelligence. But they’ve been focused on data collection for too long. They need to improve identification of targets, not increase the amount of mass surveillance data they collect. That is if they want to stop terrorists, not if they want to stop another Trump.

The Resetting will also be accompanied by the Settling of Accounts. I will take a grim satisfaction in it.

Sounds like he knows who is funding terrorism and why.

Let’s never forget that even the word was coined by Lenin and many of these so called “religious” fanatics of Islam were trained by the Soviets.

Modern terrorism is the perfect cloak for Elites to “divide and conquer” the rest of us.

They wear masks, they have no real nation, their irrationality can be ascribed to their demon god, and the MSM teaches normal Americans “not to judge” their Deep State actors

If we actually knew what politicians and bureaucrats thought of us and half the stuff they did behind our backs, we would march many of them to a wall and shoot them...

I can only conclude that Democrats love terrorism.

Because if you leave the house, it might provoke a terror attack, and cause Islamophobia, and we all know that Islamophobia is worse than deaths caused by terror attacks. Islamophobia is in the same category as racism, and as George W Bush famously said, racism is the worse possible thing.

“But somehow we are just supposed to let tens of thousands More Walk Right In?”

Exactly!!!

So why isn’t this guy going to congress every chance he can and SHOUTING this at THEM???

I’m sick of being TOLD stuff by our public officials and having them allow it to keep happening - like it’s the ‘other guys’ who have all that power...
Crap, I can hear the news TELL me what they’re telling us...

We need these folks to DO SOMETHING about it, not TELL us.

Well gee Wally. Why don't you DO SOMETHING about it?

Authorities knew the Manchester bomber beforehand. Just as they knew the muzzie that killed all them homo's in Orlando. And the muzzie that killed all them office worker at that office Christmas Party In San Bernardino. And on and on we can go.

The murders are terrible. But even worse is the fact these muzzie murderers are well known to the feds. Yet they sit back and do nothing.

I’m not buying that old “if you only knew what we did” BS anymore. Every time we find out something new the Intel world has been doing, it’s always working against Americans. Giving guns to cartels, fibbing Syrian rebels, protecting the Afghan poppy crop, collecting our emails and phone data, spying domestically, etc.

They aren’t quietly working for us, that’s why the secrecy today. It isn’t to protect tactical advantage.

People would be afraid to leave the house if they knew how unbelievably incompetent the government is! Meanwhile, democrats fret over global warming.

'Let’s never forget that even the word was coined by Lenin and many of these so called “religious” fanatics of Islam were trained by the Soviets.'

And trained by US. Russia has pretty much sided with the Shia and their friends. Most of the problems are the Sunni, which we have helped all over the world.

It was the Germans, over a hundred years ago that helped to use Islam to take down the British Empire and such. These ideas aren't new.

-- Article out a day or so ago, concealed carry permits up 215%, murder rates down by 40%. No accident here. Granted, some do not have the aptitude nor gut for it. --

That's okay. The preventive value against outbreak likely follows the same sort of paradigm that "herd immunity" does for bacterial and viral infections.

The primary goal of the security state is to make it so politicians never have to account for their own actions (read: multiculturalism).

I just finished reading Enhanced Interrogation by Dr. James Mitchell. I didn’t think I could hate Democrats in general (& Diane Feinstein in particular) more, but I do. Every FReeper should get that book.

We have LOTS to worry about, in as much as we are no longer able to adequately question detainees. And we’re still importing them to this & other western countries.
