First Lady Melania Trump became the breakout star of President Donald Trump’s first trip abroad, stunning fashion industry observers by wearing only the highest quality in high fashion.

From visits to Saudi Arabia to Israel to Brussels, the former model First Lady set her sights on an extensive wardrobe made only for the most discerning of fashion tastes. In Reem Acra, to Ralph Lauren, to her love for custom-made Dolce & Gabbana, Melania Trump took the world by storm with her style, channeling an elegance and grace that perhaps hasn’t been seen since former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy.

As Melania departed with her husband for the administration’s first foreign trip, the First Lady stunned in a Max Mara creme-toned knit sweater and Hervé Pierre rust-colored leather skirt. American Vogue deemed the look Melania’s “most fashion-forward ensemble since she became First Lady.”

Such wonderful Pictures of our First Lady.

I know it says "Photos", but every single one of them is credited as an AP/Getty.

Their way of making sure people visit the website they send them to I guess.

Michelle must be seething.

If I had that pic of the French First Lady and the Italian (?) First Lady walking up the steps, looking gorgeous from behind, well dressed and slim, and Michelle looking like a linebacker in that purple skirt, I would post it.

Melania has excellent taste. The modest black dress, ankle length, in Saudia Arabia, really set the mood. As a smart person (five languages!) and model who has traveled the world, probably, she is sensitive to cultures, but she doesn’t bow and scrape like Hillary, et al.

It is so good to have a First Lady who dresses and REPRESENTS America like she was proud of it.

That alone speaks volumes.

Well, it was a different time, with different styles. :)

Heck, Aunt Bea had nice dresses for that time. Well, maybe earlier. Aunt Bea dressed like my Depression-era grandmother. LOL!

Jackie was very highly over-rated. The press went bat “s” crazy over that woman.

The part about her that I really appreciated, is that we seldom heard much about here after the assassination.

I felt that was a good example of her dignity, even if I didn’t always understand why she did some of the things she did.

At I’m sure her prompting, John John saluted his dad. That image will always stick with me, and it was at her instigation.

What an amazing part of U.S. history she lived through, from the perspective she did.

“channeling an elegance and grace that perhaps hasn’t been seen since former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy.”

No offense to any First Lady since Jacqueline Kennedy, but I think that is a pretty safe guess. Mrs. Trump could do it in jeans and a t-shirt.

Yes! And she is an American. She became a citizen.

So for those who think Trump is anti-immigrant...well, he married one who jumped through all the hoops to become legal. I think he, and all of us, are fine with that.

Particularly those Mexicans, etc., who did all their paperwork and waited in line to become citizens.

I lived in Chicago and taught people from South of the border (it has been a long time, but I think they were on legal visas and wanted to apply for citizenship) about U.S. law and system of justice etc., so they could take the tests they needed.

No one likes "cutting in line." ;

But let's get back to the important stuff ;), the fun stuff, like what a dignified, beautiful, well-dressed First Lady we have!

No stink eye or snears. No boob belts. No butt bows. No African tribal ware.

Melania is 100% class.

Your memory is different than mine. I recall several newspaper & magazine articles every week about her marriage to the rich Greek. You couldn't watch the news without seeing her. Granted it died out once he did.
