Everybody talking about The Allman Brothers and nobody is going to mention “Elizabeth Reed”? The story goes that they got the name off an old gravestone in the woods behind the house they lived in Macon in the early days. I believe Dicky Betts wrote it. Also, for a little fun- Does anyone remember the song “The Name Game”? (billy- billy billy bobilly banana fanna fofilly, fee Fi momilly...billy) old stuff from way back.
