A former minion for the Iowa Democratic Party now operating as a Guardian reporter, Ben Jacobs, assaulted Montana Republican House candidate Greg Gianforte on Wednesday. Jacobs has a history of opposing his political opponents’ freedom of speech, as GotNews reported in October.
Gianforte is competing against Democratic candidate Rob Quist for a House seat that opened up after President Donald J. Trump appointed Ryan Zinke to be secretary of the interior. The special election is Thursday.
A statement about Jacobs’ assault from Greg for Montana campaign spokesperson Shane Scanlon reads:

The Republican candidate for the Montana at-large U.S. House of Representatives special election,
Greg Gianforte, has been cited for misdemeanor assault after he allegedly assaulted a reporter Wednesday —
less than 24 hours before polls are to open in the state — law enforcement officials said late Wednesday night.
Sheriff Brian Gootkin announced the charge on the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office website.
“Following multiple interviews and an investigation by the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office it was determined
there was probable cause to issue a citation to Greg Gianforte for misdemeanor assault.” The statement
added that the “nature of the injuries did not meet the statutory elements of felony assault.
Greg Gianforte: Anybody can tell I didn't do that to him.

Hard to say. His opponent is a real low-life dishonest person. Should have been a slam dunk for Gianforte, even our liberal leaning papers endorsed Gianforte....until last night,they revoked their endorsements.

New Leftist tactic.
Leftist media designates some angry Democratic party activist a “reporter” task them with aggressively heckling a Republican. They repeatedly shout Democratic party talking points at candidates, in a progressively more aggressive manner, invading the Republicans personal space, even pushing aside their security(including Secret Service agents) hoping their harassment will eventually lead to a reaction.
They claim to be “just trying to ask a question” but their questions are always of the form - “experts say your the GOP health care plan will kill children, Do you want children to die so you can give your rich friends a tax cut ?”
If their target tries to ignore them they get progressively more aggressive. Note they are rarely actual reporters being paid to cover someone but unpaid activist wanna-be.
Then if they get a reaction all the leftist media go crazy, misrepresent the actual even(ignore the provocation) and make the Republicans reaction their lead story.
Unfortunately this tactic works, it has cost us at least on Senate seat (Allen-VA) and hurt the campaigns of numerous Republicans.
Gianforte has been leading easily according to polls I’ve seen.
But they have closed to single digits as vote day has come.
Bernie Sanders is out there campaigning for he Dem.
“Fields is best known for claiming that Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski violently attacked her at an event before the Florida primary in March. Fields resigned from her job at Breitbart News before it became apparent that her account of events did not match up with video footage of the incident. She later filed a criminal complaint against Lewandowski, but a Palm Beach County prosecutor declined to pursue an indictment against Trump’s campaign manager.”

Democrats just lost a race-—in Omaha-—the race that got caught in the abortion debate.
DNC head Tom Perez recently declared abortion-on-demand is Democrats’ ticket to victory.
So if that’s not working, it figures Democrats might be looking at infanticide....perhaps mercy killing of the disabled...... for winning issues.
In Kansas couple weeks ago, Republican Estes won by a commanding eight points. Yet Democrat Ossoff in a GA primary failed to prevent a runoff...even after Mr Ossoff got some 10 million dollars in donations.
Earlier Democrats lost again b/c they failed to flip Zero Seats in Four Blue State Special Elections.
Those total Democrat humiliations by the Russians occurred right after DNC genius Tom Perez bragged Democrats would show that that “resistance to Trump” could be translated into electoral victories.
To add insult to injury, the Minnesota, Connecticut, Virginia Democrat losses are the states the Russians threw to Hillary in the 2016 presidential election.
Go figure.
