The GOP is worried that Trump will drag down the Republican Party but that is after the GOP went 6-0, keeping Dems from flipping those seats.

There’s nothing to see here, just Democrats winning in blue states.

If the GOP continues to F away the time with no major legislation, and simultaneously bark like liberal trained seals each time the media sticks a mic in their faces for comment on the latest MSM created Trump controversy, they will deserve to lose it all.

They can prevent losing it, if they man up and move on Trump’s priorities and budget, and tell the media wankers to pound sound. A miracle of rediscovered GOP manhood, however, is unlikely.

If citizens are this easily swayed/duped, Republic restoration will not come from working within the system. They deserve their tyranny.

Show me a heavy turnout and I’ll be worried.

The truth is the Republican base is justifiably demoralized on the basis that the Republican congress cannot or rather will not keep their promise to repeal Obamacare or really accomplish much of anything dispute holding a majority and having promised to do it for years.

Its like our congressmen have just decided not to do anything as if they never intended to keep their word in the first place.

Indeed the fact that the Republicans currently in the majority in congress have already voted to repeal Obamacare back in 2015 yet refuses to do it today looks precisely like that kind of two timing corruption and it is.

The problem is the Tuesday group which is responsible is being protected by Paul Ryan rather than being called out and forced to repeat their 2015 vote, or expose themselves as two timing traitors who never intended to keep their word.

In doing this Paul Ryan is making the whole party look corrupt and two timing rather than just those 20-50 RINOs who only switched sides to prevent their promises from being kept.

Until Paul Ryan starts to go after theses people and forces them to take personal responsibility for their corruption the Republican base is going to get increasingly disenchanted with the party. Why would we vote for someone who is simply lying to us and never intended to actually accomplish any of the goals they promised?

All I can say isI’m feeling convicted by a warning I heard about the danger of relying too much on the phrase “Trump’s people, Trump will do this.”

Trump couldn’t do anything if it wasn’t because others elected him.

Cannot speak for NH but the Long Island Dem is a virulent anti common core pro opt out of state exams. Very very big issues on LI. The area in question saw 50%+ students kept home by parents on testing days in the various school districts. That is the reason IMO for her win, as well as the GOP in the Oyster Bay part of the district being corrupt and incompetent.

Ponder this. Trump won in deep blue States. Congress is failing to implement Trumps agenda. It is legislators who just lost their seats as a result. But the Republicans will interpret this as a loss caused by trump and go further left. you do the math.

The NH race is a bad one, but for some context:

The seat was won by a Republican last November. He immediately resigned to take a job with the new Republican governor. Our town announced that we couldn’t afford a special election, so that the seat would stay vacant until 2018.

This didn’t seem right. The Town Democrats led the campaign to reverse the decision, which was successful. The Republicans held a circular firing squad primary in April. The Democrat was a well-known local personage who has engaged in do-goodism for public things like park clean up and more money for the schools - you know the drill.

The Democrat’s campaign was “You know me”. The Republican’s campaign was every GOPe slogan ever invented, rinse and repeat. At the end, she was able to tie Paul Ryan around his neck.

And she won by about 100 votes.

It’s depressing. But I’m not sure it’s a sign.

Democrats winning an assembly seat in New York State is not news.
