I immediately thought of the idea they were saying she was taking them. That was clearly not the case.

As you stated, here is one where she allowed a child to take one with her. That's different.

It does seem there is every indication that Melania was brought up in a traditional Serbian Orthodox home, probably in private as Slovenia was under communist rule. hoosiermama referred to any coverage of the Donald/Melania wedding as indication of her tradition and faith. Speaking in Italian should be no surprise; she was brought up only about 30 miles from the Italian border.

There are no better judges of character than children. In Melania's presence, these children look very serence and comfortable. They feel her love. Her dress when meeting the Pope was very appropriate, traditional, and respectful. The sign of the cross and the humility at the statue of the Blessed Virgin is completely in sync with a traditional Orthodox view, a religion in which icons are revered.

I'm trying to piece this together from things you gals say, from what I see, and from the small bits and pieces we get from the (mostly foreign) media. My feeling is that this is the woman who inspired the man who worships her to make the world a better place, to accept their God-given burden. She is probably the most remarkable woman of our lifetime.

That's where my thinking is now. Correct me please, where I'm getting it wrong.
