If faculty cannot bail out on and disparage diversity training, students don't stand a chance: Resistance is futile.
"I exhort you not to attend this training," Paul Griffiths, then a professor at the Duke Divinity School urged his colleagues via the campus e-mail. "Don't lay waste your time by doing so."
"It'll be, I predict with confidence, intellectually flaccid: there'll be bromides, clichés, and amen-corner rah-rahs in plenty. When (if) it gets beyond that, its illiberal roots and totalitarian tendencies will show. Events of this sort are definitively anti-intellectual. (Re)trainings of intellectuals by bureaucrats and apparatchiks have a long and ignoble history; I hope you'll keep that history in mind as you think about this instance."
"We here at Duke Divinity have a mission. Such things as this training are at best a distraction from it and at worst inimical to it. Our mission is to think, read, write, and teach about the triune Lord of Christian confession. This is a hard thing. Each of us should be tense with the effort of it, thrumming like a tautly triple-woven steel thread with the work of it, consumed by the fire of it, ever eager for more of it. We have neither time nor resources to waste. This training is a waste. Please, ignore it. Keep your eyes on the prize."
Facing two disciplinary actions for his act of rebellion, Dr. Griffiths resigned.

Well it has become a religion.
All praise diversity!
Professor Paul Griffiths is the kind on man I would like to work with or study under. Academia retains too few thinkers of his caliber.
that seems to be the mission of academe: find the independent thinkers and drive them out.
My guess is that he made the university an offer. I will agree not to sue you for infringing my first-amendment rights in exchange for a severance package worth x times my annual salary.

Duke Divinity School can not improve on that message with their Political Correctness that attempts to indoctrinate in leftist’ political ideology.
That’s not the only thing going on at this “school”. This year they were only, mostly, looking for muslim, women, refugees (or at the least those willing to lie and say they were), when they came around for Early Decision (ED) selections at several high school in our area of NC. In the past at a school near us, 3-5 students have ended up being selected either in ED or through normal spring admissions to go to duke.
No not this year. A muslim female who ranked 33rd in class GPA (and had flunked AP class) was selected over three others ranking 2nd, 3rd and 7th in class.
They were deferred and then reject in the spring so as not have been discriminated against in the ED process. Yea duke’s private and can do what they want and watch when they become the Berkley of the east!!!!!!
