It never shook while I was there...thank goodness!

It was a great day! No more rain, but it was cloudy and chilly for most of the day. I reveled in it beause it’s supposed to be 99 degrees day after tomorrow. I HATE that!

Hope your day was a good one! All the kitties doing well? Arabella all healed up now?

Awesome that you could sing tonight! Bet everyone was happy to have you back! Not to mention it’s good to have the money, I’m sure! :)

I’ve EATEN in Bangkok...and if you’re careful you won’t get sick. The worst thing I tried was octopus...aka rubber hose. Blech! And it DID make me sick! LOL!

We had a small quake here when I was a teen and I’ve never forgotten how unsettling it was. Decided then I didn’t want to go to CA. Be my luck there’d be a good shaker and it would totally freak me out. LOL

Another cool day? Great! Won’t be too many more of those for a while, I suppose. That’s a big jump in temperature lying ahead this weekend. UGH!

It wasn’t too bad here. Mostly cloudy but the sun poked out a few times. We just had a heck of a brief downpour a few minutes ago that caught us off guard. Looked at the radar and it was a tiny spot that blew up right over us. We had some rain this morning, too, and the added downpour gave us a total of .57 an inch for the day. The corn is loving the rain this week. It’s gorgeous right now.

Kitties are doing well. The kittens have reached the point they mew when they hear me enter the bedroom, wanting “grammy” to take them out of the box to play. Hard to believe that it’s been three weeks already since I spent the night sitting with Pixie while she was in labor. Time’s flying.
Arabelle’s doing just fine. The shot the vet gave her kept her incision from getting infected and it’s healed up well.

We had a small quake while we were in Germany. it was just the weirdest feeling to feel the room move and yet I was standing still. It wasn’t strong enough to make stuff fall out of shelves or anything, just a swaying feeling. I couldn’t figure out what it was at first. Our son and his future wife were talking on the phone in CA when one came through. She felt if first, reacted to it, he said what’s the matter and then he felt it. Very strange.

Glad the kitties are doing well. Those pictures were just adorable that you posted last night!

The quake here didn’t knock things off shelves but it did make things rattle. And the floor shook as if someone was running across the room. I was on the phone with a friend and mentioned it to her and she said she’d felt the same thing. That’s when we realized what it was.

A few years ago there was a quake centered in northern GA late at night. People felt it close to Nashville and that freaked me out. We should have felt it here because we’re in between but we felt nothing. The cats knew it was going on because they went nuts for a couple of minutes.
The next day we had friends who live less than a mile from us tell us they were almost thrown out of their bed by the shaking! Go figure that one! LOL

The kittens are at my favorite stage now. They can see and hear and want to play with my hand when I move it in front of them. Everything is a curiosity to them as they’re experiencing things for the first time. Such a joy to watch.

There were a few in OK while the kids lived there...like they needed that on top of the tornadoes!....but I don’t think they ever felt one. They would have recognized that feeling for sure!

Guess it’s time to get some zzzzzz’s. See ya tomorrow. Thanks for playing!

Yeah, OK gets them pretty often but they aren’t large. Probably aren’t felt very far from their epicenters. It’s a feeling one can’t mistake and it’s unsettling, that’s for sure. I just couldn’t live where they happen often. And I don’t want to be around when the New Madrid decides to let ‘er rip again. It’s held off this long, it can wait a few more years. LOL

Have a good day tomorrow. Enjoy that cool weather while it’s there.

A very pleasant good Wednesday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks, LUV W. for this morning's quiz.

Here is the result I got:

You should Eat in San Fransisco

div id="blogthings_result">

"+page_title+"
You are a very open eater, and you are usually one of the first to try out a new food trend.
You tend to go for locally sourced food whenever possible, and you're always excited to try a chef's latest creation.

You are a bit of an idealist, and you don't mind that this leads you to go your own way in life. You even travel your own way.
You don't really fit into the guided tour scene or anything else too touristy. You like to explore your own interests on any trip.

Good morning, Everyone.

Good morning

Thank you, Luvy, for preparing the Canteen
for today's activities.

How is everyone?
Another dreary day here; thinking
I need to get out of the house for a while.
Yeah, I'm running behind again. So, you know the drill.

Paris but anywhere you can discover tasty dishes
You enjoy a good meal, but unlike what some may think, you don't like to make too much of a fuss over it.
You know that the best food is often the simplest - if the ingredients are top notch and the execution is perfect.

You love to live the good life, and when you travel you just like to enjoy yourself. Even wandering around can be a worthwhile experience.
You don't really ever consider yourself a tourist, and you try to live like a local in every place you end up visiting.

The Canteen is

Come on in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, tea,
pancakes, conversation, silliness, and plain old BS

REMEMBER THEM

DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM

FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT

Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allied military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.

Octopus! Ungh!

I don’t like gastropods...not even calamari.

You are a true foodie, and there's little in this world you won't try. Your taste in food is broad.
You emphasize quality over quantity when it comes to eating. You like the best ingredients, prepared properly... maybe with a bit of wine.

You enjoy travel, but you don't like to wander aimlessly. You would rather stay in a place for a while and savor it.
You are attracted to a slower pace of life, even if it's only something you get to experience when you're on vacation.
