Fox News slipped to third place in the primetime demo for the first time in 17 years last week as competitors CNN and MSNBC enjoyed a surge in viewership thanks to a chaotic news week for President Donald Trumps administration.
For the week of May 15-19, Fox News averaged just 497,000 viewers in the advertiser-coveted key demo of adults 25-54 during primetime hours, compared to CNNs 589,00 and MSNBCs 611,000, according to the Hollywood Reporter, which cited data from ratings tracker Nielsen.

We tried to tell them, but they knew better.
Hey FoxNews, “Enjoy!”
DUMP SHEPHERD SMITH
Rupert’s boys know what’s best.
Did the viewers for CNN and MSNBC grow number wise, or did they stay the same while Fox lost viewer shares.
Just like when Monday night Football’s ratings slumped after they went along with protests against the national anthem, the liberals responsible will have to start promoting some unrelated theory to explain what is obviously their fault.
Doesn’t seem like Murdoch’s sons have a good “narrative” yet.
They lost the Trump voter crowd.
I wonder why this is a shock?
FNC fired everybody. Oh well, life moves on.
No surprise here faux news gets what they deserve now that the kids are running the show it’s a bunch more liberals on there anyway.
I’d rather watch my turds circle the drain then watch Faux Nudes.
Hey Rupert, don’t forget to thank your spoiled brat, left wing sons for losing you 1 billion+.
Yep the boys wanted a cable news channel respected by their liberal friends, they got it. Congrats Rupert you must be so proud!
Considering their actions the past few weeks, this is no surprise.....

Exactly right!
I was never convinced he was a Conservative, but he at least recognized the void, and provided a network that addressed things ‘more’ from the right than the others.
It was never my idea of a truly Conservative enterprise, but it was light years above the other networks, CNN, MSNBC, and CNBC, it’s real competitors.
It was so crystal clear what would happen if it went Left.
It’s shocking to watch it crater like this. It was so predictable.
Note to Rupert boys re:turning Fox into another liberal news channel. Good luck selling ad space in a saturated market.

Haven’t watched it in weeks.
Hannity is out in the cold because there is no feed in from earlier shows.
But the important thing is that the Murdoch boys will get handshakes and pats on the back at all the liberal parties.
I wonder what OAN ratings look like? I know they are minuscule, but they have to be ticking up.
I used to watch Fox News from 5pm to 10pm. Now I’m watching from 8pm to 10pm.
