Because what else did he say? Unequivocally, this is a battle between good and evil,” Gorka said.
He was enthusiastic that a “stake has been put through the heart” of “postmodern relativism” and “the secular interpretation of ‘Jobs for Jihadis,’” a reference to the Obama administration’s notorious contention that a good jobs program for terrorist recruits would help to defeat the Islamic State.

I believe that & for those who say it can’t be done, bith Hinduism and Shintoism at one point were inherently violent religions.
I’m no Pollyanna—there are some differeces, namely the model/actions of a bloodthirsty founder that didn’t exist in the others and a “holy” book whose violent verses would have to be expunged. But it is possible.
Isn’t saying that we must rid Islam of the ideology of Jihadism like trying to rid the Christian of the ideology of laying down one’s life for their brother?
It is in both of their Holy Books.
But how about the global sharia supremacism that is central to Islam and the Saudis are #1 in exporting worldwide?
After all, that is the point of the jihadist terrorism, just like the state-sponsored beheadings in Saudi Arabia.

He is saying that we are war with MILITANT islam...and in doing so he separates out the militants from all other muslims and then asks the "others" to join him in the fight.
You’ve got it. The whole point of Islam is to rule the world with their horrific sharia system. And that is what is widely supported by Muslims worldwide.
The fiction we advanced in Saudi Arabia this week is not helpful.
translation: Every Imam who is out there preaching this stuff needs to meet the business end of a missile. Eventually the others will get the message.
There are billions of Muslims in the world.
We can defeat Jihadists in the field, but they will continue to spawn new ones unless the ideology is changed and some of these will be stealth killers like the lunatic in Manchester.
So, we need a two front war - one in the field and one ideologically. The ideological battle must involve separating Islamist terrorists from mainstream Islam, reforming the Islamist view of Mohammad, supporting those Muslims who want a support a separation of Mosque and State - like Dr. Jasser, and going after Imams, Mosques and Madrassehs which preach hate and violence.
Only a fool tries to kill a concept, because thoughts don’t die. Duh.
Allowing Christian Churches and Synagogues in Saudi, freedom of expression and worship, along with promoting basic liberties should be established before we even begin to negotiate. If not, enjoy your Shi’a/Iran/Persian/Russian overlords Saudi, we can work out the crude trade when the smoke clears. Also Israel is not completely innocent in all of this as well. Everybody is using everybody, unfortunately the US gets the short end of the stick which is understandable from a geographic viewpoint.

What they need to do is make like Thomas Jefferson and clip out just the peaceful sections of the Koran. They can call it the New Koran for the new, denatured Islam.
Or, as Annie C. suggested back after 9/11, we can just kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity.
If the Saudis made a concerted effort to drive the terrorists out of their places of worship, the Saudi leadership would likely find itself driven out of Saudi Arabia.
They created this monster, and they know that it would not take much to have it turn on its creator.
Which makes me just thrilled that we are selling billions of dollars worth of weapons to them.
Not so sure about that.
