I looks like Melania gave a finger touch but holding Donald’s hand was not convenient because she was going to stay back from the receiving line the next second as he went through.
Except this was Israel - so you’ll have to come up with something else! I watched a video of them going into the Prime Minister’s home/palace and then the press area in the home. Netenyaho (sp) seemed very pleased and very natural talking about the new era of relationship between the U.S. and Israel. He was especialy thankful for Trump being the first American president to visit the Western Wall. I found that hard to believe, but it’s true I suppose nobody prior wanted to risk offending the Christians, or the Palestinians, or the muslims, or .....
Trump could do better on his speeches. Ben’s came across as heartfelt. Trump was reading line by line with his finger ...”And I was so moved today at visiting the Western Wall.....” However, a few times he did go off script and it meant much more, so there’s that. Reading “And visiting these monuments fill me with awe, and the warm and welcoming people”...[goes off script] - “the people are amazing - and it’s all about the people you know.”
Sorry for getting off the serious topic of the touch/no touch felt around the world.
Oh crap. My main point about my previous post was how Trump is the first president to visit the wall, but instead we are reading about little crap like this.
I’m guessing they have to figure out who Trump dissed most by his wall visit.

I thought nothing could top the drama and importance of the two scoops of ice cream story... but this does. I won’t sleep.
I had a slightly different take - after looking to his right Trump thought perhaps he should also be holding hands with Melania until they reached the line of dignitaries - but since they were almost there at which point they’d need to unclasp anyway so Trump could so his thing, Melanie wisely brushed him off -,but it was all about timing and nothing about their relationship, and as a professional model Melania is skilled at knowing what actions are required at what times ... even more than her husband.
You know, this makes perfect sense. Melania would be more conscious of cameras than anyone else. And she would know how to stage the best shots.
I remember at the Catholic dinner Melania and Trump did a lot of whispering, smiling and interacting with each other in what looked like happy ways. Their body language just screamed that they were together as a unit.
He was walking into a receiving line, so he couldn’t have been seeking to hold hands.
My take is that they knew they would have no more private time and were saying a simple good-bye until later, touching one last time.
Cool.
I work for the NY Slimes, and I heard from the pilot that Donald had picked his nose before showing up at the plane door, and he didn’t have the time to eat it. So he had this huge dripping booger dangling from his finger going down the red carpet, and Melania didn’t want to get this disgusting booger on her hand, so she rebuffed him!
And, that’s the truth!
I wonder how many scoops of ice cream the Saudis served?

FWIW, I don’t like holding hands. Maybe for a brief few moments. Beyond that it’s too restrictive for me.

When it comes to proper style and protocol, it’s a good idea to let Melania have a huge amount of input. The lady is on her game at all times! She’s a star!
