Monica Lewinsky: Roger Ailes’s Dream Was My Nightmare

By MONICA LEWINSKYMAY 22, 2017

This is not another obituary for Roger Ailes, who died last week a year after being ousted at Fox News. It is, I hope, instead an obituary for the culture he purveyed — a culture that affected me profoundly and personally.

Just two years after Rupert Murdoch appointed Mr. Ailes to head the new cable news network, my relationship with President Bill Clinton became public. Mr. Ailes, a former Republican political operative, took the story of the affair and the trial that followed and made certain his anchors hammered it ceaselessly, 24 hours a day.

It worked like magic: The story hooked viewers and made them Fox loyalists. For the past 15 years, Fox News has been the No. 1 news station; last year the network made $2.3 billion.

Some experts have noted that viewers found Fox for the first time because of the crisis. John Moody, a Fox executive editor, reflected on that period: “The Lewinsky saga put us on the news map.” As he put it in another interview: “Monica was a news channel’s dream come true.”

The idea that her sucking him off is what started it all never enters her vacuous head.

If it weren’t for Fox News, she would probably be found lying in fort Marcy Park, unmentioned by the media.

It’s the NYT.

Chances are the editors wrote the story then paid the cigar-holder to put her name on the byline.

If Monica had just kept her mouth shut I would have been able to see her as a naive young kid who was very badly misused by one of the filthiest, sleaziest individuals to have ever hit the political stage in this country.

But having heard various things she's had to say over the years any sympathy I might have had for her is now gone.

GONE!

If Fox had not reported it, we would have never known how Bill Clinton (not unlike other presidents in our past, whom the lying press protected) besmirched the presidency. But we do have a right to know. The pity is, that a president could not control his lusts, and NOT that it was reported. The pity is, that a young woman allowed herself to be used in that way. You weren’t the first and you won’t be the last. Roger Ailes is responsible for whatever sins he committed, but on the scales of justice, at least in this life, his bringing the truth to Americans that the rest of the press hid and still hides, must surely even those scales. Don’t blame Roger; he would have had nothing to report if either you or Bill Clinton had behaved honorably.

Monica Lewinsky was given security clearance and Pentagon employment to cover up her affair. I wish Fox News would have reported that. She should have gone to jail for that.

Wait....she’s mad at Roger Ailes for “ceaselessly” calling attention to how much of a slut she was because it put her in the spotlight; which her article is doing, again? Hmmmmmm....what’s the word I’m looking for?

She is attacking the only People who ever tried to defend her against the Clinton Bimbo Eruption Team, the entire Democrat Party and the MSM who blamed her for damaging a sitting Democrat President.

If only she took the Dress to the Drycleaners they lamented. Of course others said, if only she gulped...

At the time, Fox News probably had about three million viewers on average. The three Major Networks drew in about thirty million viewers if not more to their Nightly News Broadcasts.

Her “Relationship” with President Clinton consisted of multiple instances of Fellatio, a little Salad Tossing and being Sodomized with a fine Cuban Cigar. She willingly participated like a star struck Groupie who gets to meet the Band after the Show.

I always felt sorry for her. She was a starry eyed young Girl who was manipulated by Bill Clinton. Now she is nothing but a Useful Idiot being manipulated by the NYT.

She thinks she is a modern day Patty Hearst who doesn’t blame the SLA for her circumstances. The Stockholm Syndrome is strong with this one.

The “affair” was not the major problem. It was theft and harassment.

There was a group of female volunteers working at the White House. One was converted to a full time paying job, paid for by the taxpayers. We know why she was chosen. It was unfair to all the other volunteers and to women everywhere.

Should women have to do what Monica did to get a job? Bill misappropriated taxpayer funds.

Roger was a hero to working women everywhere.

Yet another lefty playing the role of “victim” when she has no one to blame but herself.

Have always wondered if she has other blue dresses in her current wardrobe.

She was just another of Bill Clinton’s disposable women. Linda Tripp is the heroine of this saga. If not for Linda and the blue dress - Hillary Clinton would have glided into the Oval office as POTUS at some point.

The scandal exposed the ‘real’ Clintons and Roger Ailes exemplified our free press. May he RIP.

Thanks, Monica, for spreading the news of Mr. Ailes's accomplishments.

BTW, your name is a common noun.
