Trump apologized for not having a lot of time, saying, "I can't believe I'm sitting down with you, Boaz. Do you realize how many things I have going on this week? But I promised you an interview before my trip to Israel so I'm going to keep my word. Right? Did you see that I smiled at you during the press conference?"
This was not the first time that he reminded me that he is a man of his word. Shortly before Trump was sworn in as president, when I reminded him that as a candidate he had promised to relocate the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, he told me that he was not a man who breaks promises. But last week, when I asked him why he was reluctant to follow through on said promise, he dismissed my question, saying it was not the time to discuss it. "We have some very interesting things in the works. We have some very, very interesting things in the works. We will be talking about that in the future," Trump said.
"Friedman is a dealmaker"
I asked him whether he suspected that the string of damning reports over the last several days was part of an orchestrated onslaught.
"I don't know what it is, Boaz, but it is really too bad," he replied, accusing the media of milking the stories surrounding Comey and Russia.
"They used this as an excuse ... and it is ridiculous," he said.
Trump made it clear that he will continue working toward the goals he was elected to achieve: improving the economy and making America great again. "Our country is doing really well since the election, since the victory. They call it the Trump bump. Despite distractions it is really doing well."

Why he went to Saudi Arabia first instead of Israel bothers me for some reason.
Love the people of Israel? Keep your promise about Jerusalrm.
Love the people of Israel? Keep your promise about Jerusalrm.
The whole trip seems to have the theme "cooperation".
Because everyone knows he is a friend of Israel. He has some latitude to honor Saudi Arabia. Let’s make some sort of deal with the Palestinians, and solidify the emerging three-way alliance between Israel, the US, and Saudi Arabia.
Let's see what Net has to say.
Maybe optics, especially for the Palestinians. I noted he did call out Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorists. He did mention Jews and Christians being persecuted and that he was visiting Netanyahu and the Pope to all fifty Muslim leaders. They claim to be a religion of peace, let’s see how peaceful they are.
He went to Saudi Arabia to find a “moderate Muslim” and found several. He got them to declare Hamas as a terrorist organization. That changes the game with the Fakistinians.
This is all setting up so that they can all be saying “peace and security” when sudden destruction comes upon them.
Maybe to emphasize that he believes Obama tilted far too much toward the Iranians and their regional goals. That was mentioned in several commentaries I've heard.
From what I’ve been hearing, Netanyahu has been saying publicly he wants the embassy moved, but privately he is telling the US, “Not yet”.
I think it will happen, but certainly not until Israel gives the green light.
I’m not sure of the reason, Saudi Arabian influenced or not, but Trump is genuine when it comes to Israel, and he will be our best president for them in a long time.
He is not a president that will sit with folded hands. He is a hands on guy that will be working hard every day, and part of that work will be to increase Israel one way or another.
Don’t sweat it.
If we had a fair press his approval rating would be much higher.
He knows exactly what he is doing. America doesn’t have a problem with Israel. We have a problem with the Mideast and he took a giant step during the last few days towards a solution. It won’t be easy, but it is a good start.
Maybe Israel want to slow that down for the moment.
Apparently this hasn't ever been done before and, from what the article stated, this is to quote Joe- a big f'n deal.
I would imagine that it's going to come up later as a part of the "unprecedented interaction/cooperation between the former adversaries, yada, yada, yada," to go along when with all the other "firsts" Trump is rackin' up (no scarf on the women's heads, no bowing etc.)
Doubt ‘The Donald’ at your own peril.
It is simple really, Saudi Arabia and the Arab Islamic summit was much more important
That meeting was of mega historic importance
