Go Mo!!!

Moore is not the only Christian in the race. Other than grandstanding off the Ten Commandments, what has Roy ever done to demonstrate he would be a good senator?

Funny how you don’t mention Connie Mack, Pete Hoekstra, George Allen, Heather Wilson, Tommy Thompson, Eric Berg, and Denny Rehberg, all Establishent LOSERS!

But oh, conservatives are to blame! (not, apparently, the hand-picked pantywaist moderate at the top of the ticket, and his equally pantywaist running-mate, Speaker Ryan)

I focused on the worst two candidates of 2012 Senate elections who lost seats they should have won. They did not lose in relatively reliable conservative leaning states because they were conservative. They lost because they were toxic candidates. They were toxic candidates because, like Todd Akin, Richard Mourdock introduced rape into the abortion conversation and down, down, down he went when he said "And even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen."

Todd Akin, was leading in Missouri until he said,

"Well you know, people always want to try to make that as one of those things, well how do you, how do you slice this particularly tough sort of ethical question. First of all, from what I understand from doctors, that's really rare. If it's a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down. But let's assume that maybe that didn't work or something. I think there should be some punishment, but the punishment ought to be on the rapist and not attacking the child."

But for making stupid comments on the campaign trail, we could have had two solid conservatives in the Senate. Conservative candidates need to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves when they campaign. If they cannot contain themselves, they should not run for office.

So are we to assume Ted Cruz was toxic politically because he lost to Donald Trump?

Are we to assume Mitt Romney and John McCain were toxic politically and that's why they lost?

  1. Romney was toxic after he made the 47% comment. He did not lose a race he would have won. He was in the race, might have won, and blew it with that soundbite. Look at the states he lost though. He might have won FL, OH, and VA, but he was too far behind in states he needed to flip like IA, CO, NV, NH, etc. He could have lost closely rather than decisively.
  2. McCain was in a very tough position when he ran for President. He had almost no chance and was blown out of the race. Picking Sarah Palin injected life into his campaign. The MSM ravaged her. McCain won 31% of Hispanics which helped but Obama won women (56 - 43), tied in men (49 - 48), came close in white voters (43 - 55) and triggered a monster turnout among black voters to 13% (was 11% in 2004) of voters (95 - 4).

The NRSC is making a big mistake. These are the same people who backed Charlie Crist over Marco Rubio when they were running for Senate in Florida.

The voters of the STATE should decide, not the DC power brokers. Stay OUT of the matter, Washington!!

....two Republicans who lost in 2016 were the New Hampshire and Nevada ones....iirc, they were the only R Senate candidates who bashed Trump as the nominee.

The Buckley rule will apply to Moore. He can win. Still his time has come and gone.

A solid recommendation for Moore.

I find the RNC interference in the primary for an open seat to be enlightening and disgusting. The RNC should assist the winner of the primary. This is Alabama! The winner of the primary will win the election and end up being the junior Senator from Alabama. Why does the RNC want to hand pick our nominee? It’s our choice Mitch - Go the hell away!

To Luther - the adds that will come that show you to be the establishments hand pick choice with funding to silence the voices of the citizens of our state will be a spotlight of truth and death to your campaign.

Go Moe, Go Moore! There may be a few more on the list I will like but Down with Strange.

RNC - Go away! We gave you Sen Sessions, I think we are capable of vetting our candidates. We don’t need any more Mcains or Mconnels and Alabama won’t put up with them either!!!!!!

Moore has no chance. He needs to exit and get behind Mo Brooks, one of the greatest patriots in the House.

So, you are the kind of person who would have piled on Trump, if he had not gotten those mere 107,000 votes over Hillary to get the Electoral College win.

I’m curious, do you always bend with the wind?

New Hampshire was very close; both President Trump and Sen Ayotte barely lost, possibly due to college voters.

Nevada was closer than 2012 yet not enough to overcome the influx of Hispanic votes, legal and illegal.

I do not think the reluctance of Senate candidates to embrace Donald Trump mattered in 2016. A rising tide lifted all boats; in some states Trump ran ahead of Senate candidates and in others behind. It's a shame the NC governor lost his race. It really would have helpful had Trump, Ayotte, and Heck had won NH and NV though.

The Cheap Labor Express owns most of the GOP Senators and wants to keep it that way.

Moore is not gonna win, nor should we hope he does, he’s the one guy who might conceivably lose to a rat. And he’s too old.

It will probably be a runoff between Strange and Mo Brooks. I’m inclined to back Brooks.

These Senate races of 2012 were lost because of conservatives who were toxic politically.
Indiana,
Joe Donnelly (Democratic) 50.0%
Richard Mourdock (Republican) 44.2%
Andrew Horning (Libertarian) 5.7% [
Missouri,
Claire McCaskill (Democratic) 54.8%
Todd Akin (Republican) 39.0% [31]
Jonathan Dine (Libertarian) 6.1%””

They weren’t toxic, they were lied about by the old media mouthpiece of the DNC. The toxic press is the enemy, not these conservatives.

Well they just need to keep running and rerunning, as many do overs as it takes, because they are owed those seats.

They ran, they choked, we lost.

“They” didn’t choke. They were choked by the old media. People still don’t get the astonishing power of a corrupt press that represents only, the DNC.

Great; then they won and we did not lose. Good to know we held those Senate seats in Indiana and Missouri all these years ...

I didn’t say we won, but press lying is a way to cheat just as voter fraud is a way to cheat.

I sure do miss Don and stories he had to tell. 16 missions over Germany and shot down, but survived. He never took an ounce of credit. He said it was absolutely terrifying to see other planes in formation shot down while flying to the drop zone. He was a Captain at age 21 in early 1945.

Our nation needs courageous patriots who do their duty. May the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob have mercy on us, turn the hearts of the children to their parents, and provide them. May the parents pray without ceasing for their children.
