GOP talks of narrowing ‘blue-slip’ rule for judges

GOP senators are talking about changing an obscure Senate tradition to make it more difficult for Democrats to block certain judges from advancing to a confirmation hearing.

The change to the “blue-slip rule” would involve preventing individual senators from blocking nominees to circuit courts that have jurisdiction over several states.

If the rule change were made, it would make it easier for President Trump to win confirmation for his circuit court picks. Trump currently has 20 vacancies on the lower courts of appeals to fill.

Just do it. Don’t float it during the weekend, hoping for democrats to ‘approve’ it. They will never approve any measure that diminishes their tactical weaponry.
Be bold GOP, just make it so, and keep on driving in the right direction.

sounds helpful. In the mean time many current judges not following the law, but making it up as they see fit, should be given pink slip.

The Republicans should invoke the Harry Reid Rule and unilaterally change any rules that they want.

There simply are not enough judicial positions left for Conservatives to reclaim even a majority control of the courts.

The problem with the court system is we have too many judges who each have too much power. The Democrat appointed judges demonstrate this as minor judges effectively hijacked the executive branch endangering the american people.

I like that idea just fine. Hit the bastard domestic enemies with EVERYTHING that can be used to hurt and invalidate them because we all know they would have NO compunction about using it against us if they ever regain power.

Absolutely! Ram President Trump’s judges right up their butts. Sideways if possible. This is total war now - no holds barred.
