Robert Mueller, the newly appointed special counsel in the investigation into Russia, will likely ask the multiple congressional investigations to curtail their public hearings in order to proceed with his own investigation, according to a Thursday New York Times report.
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed Mueller Wednesday night, about a week after Trump abruptly fired FBI Director James Comey.

Dunno what you’re talking about. Mueller has essentially cut off four congressional investigations which is a good thing. He has now put everything into the one organ that can look into the Dems without being sidetracked. Wow.

Not a chance that most witnesses would wish to attend congressional hearings with the special prosecuter lurking in the background. The SP will probably not allow Comey to testify in the open if at all and the document production? Forget it.
Can you imagine how nuts Mueller will get when CNN or another news outfit does a story and cites “Sources close to the investigation”?
