I wonder how the dynamics would change if Hillary were to suddenly succumb to her obvious ailment, e.g., Parkinsons. If she were no longer here to worship and defend, would the rhetoric diminish at all?

Absolutely. On Day One, every new CEO should request a resignation from every single executive in the organization. Put all of them on a specified probationary period — maybe six months. At the end of the period, return the docs to those you want to retain, and send file boxes to the offices of the rest of them so they can pack their stuff and siappear.

I think the CEO analogy is less than ideal when trying to understand how governments works. The Mafia is a better analogy IMO. There are various crime families that vie for control of the organization every four years and Donald Trump screwed them all and then left all their henchmen in a position to return the favor.

He said he was going to drain the swamp. he needs to get busy draining it because it ain't gonna drain itself.
