Perhaps - but consider Clinton-era media - no WWW, no Facebook, No Twitter - few had even email - and CNN was the only 24 hour game in town - and they had actual conservatives - like Pat Buchanan - totally different world. So hard to compare the reactions.
Don’t you remember Pat Buchanan claiming Hillary and Foster were Mossad spies? That was three years after Foster died - and we’re still talking about it 30 years later - snooze button or not.
