Of course it’s totally irresponsible - that was the point. Any time Trump fired Comey would have been within a few days after something happened in this frivolous and politicized “Russia” investigation. Any time Trump fired Comey would have been either too soon after a key person took a job related to Justice, or too long after that person took the job (or both).

The real facts: Russia engages in adverse cyber activities against all political candidates and parties in all elections, to gain leverage or insight against or into the winner. Russia presumably hacked Hillary and the DNC, since everyone else did too. Insiders (not hackers) leaked the key emails that are said to have harmed Hillary, but polling suggests that those emails did little damage. Whether voters supported or hated Hillary or were on the fence, they already knew that she was one of the most corrupt politicians in our history, and the leaks did not change their votes.

If the Media thought the Wikileaks Podesta emails were such a big deal, they would have covered it before their candidate lost the election.
