You may remember the movie “The Directors” that was based on the premise that no one ever looks into the finances of a failed Broadway play. Two con artists produce a play they KNOW will fail, “Springtime for Hitler”, planning on skimming off most of the outside funding and then simply disappearing amidst the hatred of the pubic. The problem was that the play succeeded, unlike Mrs. McCabe. No one ever investigates the spending of failed political campaigns.
