John McCain on Comey firing: ‘There will be more shoes to drop’
WaPo ^ | 10 May 20173

President Trump’s sudden firing of FBI Director James B. Comey is bad for the country and will not be the end of the Trump-Russia affair, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) told a group of foreign diplomats and experts Tuesday night.

Although McCain did not directly accuse the White House of firing Comey to thwart the FBI’s investigation into the Trump campaign’s possible Russia ties, he did say that if that was the intention, it would fail.

“This scandal is going to go on. I’ve seen it before,” McCain told a meeting of the Munich Security Conference core group. “This is a centipede. I guarantee you there will be more shoes to drop, I can just guarantee it. There’s just too much information that we don’t have that will be coming out.”

He called Trump’s actions against Comey “unprecedented” and said the position of FBI director has held special meaning in American public life dating back decades.

“I remember the Saturday Night Massacre,” McCain told the mostly European and American guests, referring to the 1973 incident when President Nixon fired the special prosecutor looking into the Watergate break-in, Archibald Cox.

“Probably the most respected individual in all of the American government is probably the director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” McCain said. “I’m very sorry that this has happened.”

The event was off the record, but McCain gave me permission to place his comments on the record. He said that Trump had the legal basis to fire Comey but that his decision would have long-term negative consequences.

John McCain has never met a back that he did not want to stab.

I love how President Trump meets with Russia’s top diplomat the day after he fires Comey.

There is no doubt he is out to get Trump.

Probably goes back to Trump’s initial refusal to acknowledge John McCain as a “hero,” perhaps compounded by insane jealousy because voters elected Trump as President, but told McCain to go back and look for his missing strawberries.

So predictable. When the globalists lose one of their big lackeys in the federal government like Comey they send another big lackey like McPain to spin it.

McCain was “disappointed” by Trump’s move and praised Comey as a man of “honor and integrity.”

More proof that McCain needs to retire. Comey could have been fired more than once just in the past 10 months. Someone in the GOP needs to read McCain the riot act, not that he'll listen.

I have been saying for months that Trump needs to take scalps. Let us hope the scalping has begun.

The late Colonel Bud Day’s endorsement of him was pretty luke warm when McCain ran for the presidency... and Day had been his cell-mate for a while. I’d put a lot more stock in Col Day’s opinion than any opinion McCain had on any subject. Read his Biography... Hell of a man!

McCain is as dumb as a box of rocks.

He always has been. A dunce, a drunk and a dullard. He would have flunked the Academy but his daddy was an Admiral, and the establishment protects its own.

The timing of Trump’s firing of Comedy was exquisite!

By firing Comedy, Trump has totally erased the left wing's bs attacks on his first 100 days as Potus.

He has thrown that bs to the side of the media road and got into their heads with the firing of Comedy. They will be forced to use their Russia bs again and fail again with Russia/Russia!

He will control them for this news cycle. They will give him more free publicity.

That "Free" publicity that will confirm our support of President Trump and bring more of the independent voters to his side.

They will not be able to sleep at night with his firing of their FBI protector, Comedy!

A special good night to rats in DC and across America. Sleep well! President Trump will be there, watching over you!

John McVain is a vicious ‘Rat loving jackal. He should be defending President Trump’s sensible and necessary action wholeheartedly. Instead, he is busy sowing FUD and dissension with the MSM, with Congress, and with international ALLIES.

McVain is scum.

Comparing it to Watergate, what imbecility!!!!!
