Heck, it took me a while to figure out that the “extra” shots in the OK Corral fight in Tombstone were different camera angles of the same shots.
The song was sarcastic and man-hating. It was pretty obvious. A lot of people didn't get it. RLPFs were certainly around back then, and a lot of them didn't get it either.
I don't even know any actual mommies that would put up with such TV trope behavior. Therefore, I must conclude women who choose such men were extremely foolish and lack the integrity to admit it.
Either way, absolving her of any responsibility for marrying a bum by saying he wants a mommy is like blaming the man when a woman gets an abortion.
And I know that my wife doesn't let our eight year old daughter watch television shows that degrade men for no reason.
She doesn't have to exercise such oversight with regard to women, because THERE ARE NONE.
Absolutely. “The Fugitive” was a great movie!
Every one has to do something.
Any Homer and Jethro?
I agree 100%.
I think these are two different heads of the same monster - a media that paints EVERY adult male as an idiot, and a culture that enables/encourages men to stay immature.
That's a deadly combination for our society.
And we don't allow our daughter to watch shows that degrade men - heck, we won't even watch them either.
Your daughter is blessed to have a dad that cares for her so much. Have a great night.
"My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys"
I grew up a-dreamin' of bein' a cowboy,
and Lovin' the cowboy ways.
Pursuin' the life of my high-ridin' heroes,
I burned up my childhood days.
I learned all the rules of the modern-day drifter,
Don't you hold on to nothin' too long.
Just take what you need from the ladies, then leave them,
With the words of a sad country song.
My heroes have always been cowboys.
And they still are, it seems.
Sadly, in search of, but one step in back of,
Themselves and their slow-movin' dreams.
Cowboys are special with their own brand of misery,
From being alone too long.
You could die from the cold in the arms of a nightman,
Knowin' well that your best days are gone.
Pickin' up hookers instead of my pen,
I let the words of my years fade away.
Old worn-out saddles, and 'old worn-out memories,
With no one and no place to stay.
My heroes have always been cowboys.
And they still are, it seems.
Sadly, in search of, but one step in back of,
Themselves and their slow-movin' dreams.
Sadly, in search of, but one step in back of,
Themselves and their slow-movin' dreams.
I think she is trying to do “rap.” :\
And that’s why I help them get divorced.
Congratulations on reaching 30 years.
For you to even presume to tell a man what a man is is vanity.
For you to presume that a woman can't tell when a man is an adult and when he is not is silly. We have eyes, do we not see? We have ears do we not hear? It is easy to tell which males are men and which are not.
Tell me, does facing life together include a rational division of labor for the household while things YOU want done, the way you WANT them done are done by yourself without his coerced assistance?
Say what?
Would you care to repeat that in a slightly less run on form?
I think I know what you are asking but considering your antagonism I would like to be sure.
Do you know how many who have their own place rely on their mother coming over to do things for them?
Not every male wants a mommy to take care of him. But there are a number that do. And they get married expecting wife to be mommy.
Any man who denies these truths is on the same level as Bill Clinton.
I met a young fellow a few months ago who was about as genuine a “cowboy” as you could ever hope to find. It is a hard life out in the lonesome and having the opportunity to make a family in that setting is real damn tough.
You can't have it both ways. If your observations and conclusions are valid, then so are mine.
Would you care to repeat that in a slightly less run on form?
Sure. Have you ever told your husband how the toilet seat is supposed to be left?
Well, in my state it is pretty much a 50/50 property division and unless the dude makes 6 figures, it is not an alimony case.
Now my most recent victories have been men who I helped get their kids away from a meth head mom and a mom who wanted to move them away.
So, you and your preconceived notions are a little off.
A partner breaks a contract, then they don't deserve 50 or even 80% and custody should have the same percentages. Why? Because you are conditioning the next generation that marriage vows are not worth squat.
