The entire bizarre scheme of NFA regulation is being shown as stupid, irrational, and antiquated.
Ruger came out with this around a year or two ago. Hickock45 did an episode on them. I wonder if a 20 gauge might me more functional than a 12 gauge for this type of weapon. It has less recoil and is more manageable, but would still deliver an incredible punch at man to man range.
Interesting. The one pictured in the article, if it were fitted with a 10rd magazine, would be a great home defense item and I would be interested.
It needs a upper stock above the barrel.............
this would do nicely in a 410 model (that can also shoot .45’s)
The Ruger one held 6 shells in its internal magazine and one in the pipe. Not bad for the small size.
Mossberg has a cut down version of the 590 for sale as well.
Yes. Do what the Ruskies tabS Saiga do and give it a ten round detachable mag placed in front of the trigger guard.
Firing a 12 gauge shotgun equipped with a pistol grip is a painful proposition unlike any other, and definitely not one for the faint-of-heart.
Now *everyone* can be a Trayvon, making an expedited withdraw at the liquor store..!!
Gimme a bandana..!
You're right. I said Ruger above and I meant Mossberg. My bad. Mossberg is the one Hickock45 did his episode on, not Ruger.
How many blue states have already moved to ban them?

My wife and a couple of other female relatives are not capable of handling a 12 gauge. Two of them hunt birds and small game with 20’s. These are not puny gals, our nick names for them are Sturdy Women.
I have a pistol grip Mossberg 12 gauge. It kicks like a mule. But with a 16” barrel, it can be carried in my truck without a cc permit.

wasn’t there a similar little shotgun on the market years ago known as the “snake charmer” that used 20 gauge??
may have been “too short” to be legal, as I haven’t seen one on the market in years??
anybody hep me on this?

I have a comparable Mossberg 590. Overall length is 2.3” shorter, so of course it has to be intensely checked, registered, & monitored by the BATFE ... but a bit longer, and the above Tac 14 is barely even acknowledged as a firearm.
NFA must go.
922(o) must go.
I tried putting a pistol grip with no butt stock on my Winchester Defender. The recoil was bad enough that I replaced it with a full stock but still with pistol grip which is much easier for me to hold due to arthritis in my hands.
I can see the utility of the short barrel, pistol grip only but it is not my cup of tea.
My immediate thought on seeing the picture and reading just the beginning of the article was “I sure wouldn’t want to shoot that in 12ga, but 20ga might make for a useful piece of hardware.”
