EXCLUSIVE – Congressional Expert: North Korea Prepping EMP Catastrophe Aimed At U.S. Homefront
Breitbart ^ | May 8, 2017 | Aaron Klein

TEL AVIV – While the international community and news media focus on North Korean missile tests and the country’s nuclear program, one expert warned on Sunday that North Korea may be secretly assembling the capability to take out significant parts of the U.S. homeland via an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack.

Dr. Peter Vincent Pry is executive director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security and is the chief of staff of the Congressional EMP Commission.

Speaking on this reporter’s talk radio program, Pry pointed to two North Korean satellites that are currently orbiting the U.S. at trajectories he says are optimized for a surprised EMP attack. “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” is broadcast on terrestrial radio on New York’s AM 970 The Answer and NewsTalk 990 AM in Philadelphia and online.

Pry was referring to the KMS 3-2 and KMS-4 earth observation satellites launched by North Korea in April 2012 and February 2016 respectively.

He warned: “They are positioning themselves as sort of a nuclear missile age, cyberage version of the battleship diplomacy in my view. So that they can always have one of them (satellites) very close to being over the United States or over the United States.

“Then if a crisis comes up and if we decide to attack North Korea, Kim Jong Un can threaten our president and say, ‘Well, don’t do that because we are going to burn your whole country down.’ Which is basically what he said. I mean, he has made threats about turning the United States into ashes and he connected the satellite program to this in public statements to deter us from attacking.”

“If you wanted to win a New Korean war,” added Pry, “one of the things you would certainly consider doing is taking out the United States

Sheesh! at least Fat Boy could at least smile to the camera.

I remember how the media had hopes that Fat Boy would be different than his grandfather and father based on the fact he was educated in Switzerland and was exposed to western culture. The moron media do not realize education and having nice things has nothing to do how good or evil one is.

"There would be at least a half dozen other countries North Korea would have to be ready to fight."

There will be nothing to fight. Very shortly after America's ICBM missile subs become aware of things, the entire Korean peninsula will cease to exist. An EMP attack on the North American continent will NOT eliminate retaliation. I doubt that the NORK nomenclatura is that suicidal.

I read that book. Dana1960 is right, lots of good ideas, just in case. Another set of books by A. American is a great series for understanding what shortfalls we’d have and the psychologic aspects.

And remember to buy paper copies, or put your kindle/ereader in a mylar bag. FReegards

"I don’t think the North Koreans have the capability to put something as heavy as one of their nukes into orbit, yet."

That was my point - a satellite is one thing, a nuke is quite another.
ICBMs do go into an earth orbit before heading back in on the target, so I assumed if you could do one you could do the other - but I can see from some of the comments that getting into orbit is only part of the equation.

But that's ok - because the associated population reduction would be quite pleasing to the insane globalists who stirred this profitable poo pot up to begin with.

This is a common misconception on FR. That an EMP = charged particles, not a gamma ray burst.

A mylar bag will not protect against an EMP. Zip, zero, nada. Charged particles, yes. Gamma rays -no.

To protect agasints gamma rays a few inches of steel or several feet of earth are required.

Fortunately, with President Trump, we won’t have to wait for an attack to deal with the fat NK maniac ... a “slipperly slope” to be sure.

That is what some of us on FR have been saying for weeks.
Now a nuclear mine detonated under a Carrier Task Force, now that is a real possibility and well within NK capabilities.

Yup, it's a real eye opener. Every American should read this book. After readings it a few years ago, I bought five copies and sent them to family members and close friends.

I bought a bunch also; IIRC you can still get 60w bulbs here in Texas.

If an EMP was that good a weapon, the US military would have tested it on somebody by now.

I saw a video decades ago about the US military testing an EMP gun.
(It was so long ago I don't remember anything about it)
