Trayvon Martin's life didn't matter to his parents

Florida Memorial University is planning to award Trayvon Martin a posthumous bachelor of science degree in aviation during its commencement ceremonies this Saturday.

Didn’t think of Trayvon as the scholarly type, did you?

Since his death in 2012, Martin, the 17-year-old thug who was fatally shot during a fight with George Zimmerman, has been made into a martyr.

According to Sybrina Fulton, Trayvon’s mother, Trayvon wanted to be a pilot or an airplane mechanic. But he was far from a model student. According to reports, Trayvon had been suspended twice that school year before his death for offenses that should have gotten him arrested – once for getting caught with a burglary tool and a dozen items of female jewelry, the second time for being found with marijuana.

In 2010, Chief Charles Hurley of the Miami-Dade School Police Department implemented a policy that lowered the number of criminal reports, altering statistics to create the impression that crime was dropping within the school system. Crimes were being reported as disciplinary infractions. If Chief Hurley and the Miami-Dade School District had done their jobs, Trayvon may have gotten the wake-up call needed to change his life.

Guess the header could have read "Aspiring astronaut dies at the hands of brutal racist." Yawn. His parents were absent so I suppose they didn't care about him. Then. Now? Escalades all around. With 24s? Cash cow much?

His parents care now that they can get rich by supporting the narrative. There is big money behind supporting the far left Big Government movement. The Ctrl-Left disgusts me, and Trayvon’s absent parents have joined them to cash in on their neglected son’s (well-deserved) death.

“Airplane mechanic”? Maybe a possibility at one time. However, the way he turned out I wouldn’t let him fix a broken wheelbarrow.

"...Cash cow much?..."

Aside from his ascension to sainthood, Saint Trayvon Martin should also be granted an Ivy League PhD.
From all eight of the schools, just for starters. He was that brilliant.

I think you might have meant: Now? Escalades all around. With 40s?

I read that. I’m dismayed since I worked on the Shuttle systems for 36 years, I probably would have run into him at Kennedy Space Center sooner or later. ;-)

Interestingly enough, I could see his family NOW litigating for loss of potential income from GZ (and his insurance company).

How much income might TM have made as a degreed aeronautics engineer/technician over the the rest of his life time (using the actuarial tables).

Travon Martin has been worth much more to his parents dead than if he had lived. He was headed toward living out the better part, if not all, his life in the custody of the Florida Department of Corrections at the best. The worst would have been in the graveyard or getting the needle. In other words, he was running full speed on a track that would lead to him killing someone, or someone[other that Zimmerman] killing him. If he had not tried to kill Zimmerman that night, his time on Earth would have been short due to the road he was traveling.

‘Didn’t think of Trayvon as the scholarly type, did you?’

He actually was. Sabrina gave him as a baby to the woman her husband left her for. I forget this woman’s name, but she loved Trayvon and was very good to him. Under her care he excelled at school, got into zero drugs and didn’t drink.

Then Tracy (Trayvon’s father) left this woman too. His new paramour wanted nothing to do with Trayvon, and Tracy was too cheap to pay childcare support to his ex. So he dumped Trayvon, at 15 or 16, back on Sabrina.

Sabrina preferred her other son, and made no effort to bond with or care for Trayvon. She bragged that there were boxes of cereal on the table, so Trayvon could have breakfast if he was hungry.

Before long Trayvon’s grades plummetted. He took up mixed martial arts, started drinking and boozing, and embarked on a breaking and entering crime/theft spree to support his habits.

I know that vilifying the thug Trayvon is popular. But he had a couple of bad breaks, too. One was named Tracy, and the other was named Sabrina.

You mean Trayvon, Obama’s putative son?

A martyr to liberal fascist politics and their propaganda journalists.

Tray -tray was a bully and and a B&E specialist , menace to everyone. But Tray-tray did not understand the 2nd amendment.I guess for some reason the 2nd amendment was not taught in Tray-tray’s local liberal lefty excuse for a high school. His death is on their hands as much as the parents IMHO.

I wonder how many burglary tools are kept in the other school lockers there today?
