Stubborn myopic children that cannot seem to acknowledge the obvious need to be treated as such.

I think our chances are pretty good in the green states.

I wouldn’t have disagreed with you last summer.

However, the election of DJT is clear and convincing evidence that We the People are not beyond self-redemption.

>>>The senate has already said they will write their own bill.<<<

Do you expect if a version is actually sent to Trump’s desk, it will not enshrine things in obamacare like 1) no ban on pre-existing condtions 2) kids on the plan until 26 3) subsidies, aka welfare, for low income folks 4) penalty for not having insurance?

The house bill retained all 4 of those things. Just saying. You expect the Rinos in the senate to grow a spine?

Clearly. But in the course of attempting a fix, don’t you think there will be the same level of blue state obstruction as there is in congress?

There is risk in getting out of bed every morning. Right now a majority of legislatures are Republican. This is the time to do it.

Levin expects civility.
I don’t.

Our corrupted monetary system, controlled by the Non-Constitutional Federal Reserve, is the root of all statism, socialism and crony-capitalism in this country.

It benefits only - big government, government cronies and hangers-on, and banks.

The Federal Reserve is opposed to the interests of every other American.

COS is not a free-for-all. They will start with a set agenda. Term limits should be #1. Balanced budget #2.

That will correct a lot of problems.

Assuming Republican majorities in state houses are more effective than the Republican majority we enjoy in congress?

But most states don’t go along with all the tomfoolery going on in the deep blue states. Think about it..

It will take 20+ years for any amendment from the Article V to ever get passed by enough states — assuming it is fast-tracked.

Anyone who thinks such a convention will NOT be infiltrated by special interests are deluding themselves. There is too much money and power at stake. The GOP establishment and Dem establishment will make sure they have influence in the procedings.

How is selecting delegates to a convention any better than electing delegates to a Congress? They both came from the same pool.

There was plenty of corruption at work when state legislators instead of voters selected US Senators.

There wasn’t a Golden Age of wonderful balance between state and federal gov’t- for one thing the Civil War had established overwhelming federal supremacy years before.

The drive for popular election of Senators didn’t arise out of nowhere. Special interests had been spreading money around state legislators and got the Senators they wanted elected. The 17th was supposed to change that. Probably all that it managed to do is change who gets the money.

Here's another reason, the 60 vote cloture rule in the Senate needs to be amended out.

another, sanctuary cities need to be amended out.

I'm going to be blunt. The "Convention of States" is a BAD idea. The progressives and elite will take control it and we will end up wondering why we were in favor of it.

This is a bold ploy!

all the house did was enshrine 90% of obamacare into their own bill. it’s really not that big of a deal

They put the republican label on the impending train wreck. They’re all idiots.

Its well known that America’s enemies dislike out Bill of Rights first, second and fourth ammendments, for starters.
A ConCon opens up the opportunity for our compromised legislators and liberal 150 Million citizens to abridge our most fundamental rights.

Regarding the US Constitution -
If it ain’t broke, then don’t f@ck with it.
Voters and crooked politicans are where are problems lie.

RE:
“The population is immoral. The tyranny of the minority by the majority is in progress. Laws and the constitution are being ignored bc of it. I’m skeptical how much good could come of the Levin’s Liberty amendments if the population abides by dishonest and immoral leaders. And this is not really a new problem. FDR basically broke the clear meaning of the constitution way back.”
