Big lesson every guy has to learn, the sooner the better.

You do not want to be the guy who owns the yacht.

You want to be the guy who’s friends with the guy who owns the yacht, and brings over a 12 pack and enjoys some time on the yacht.

Women are yachts. Real nice to look at and enjoy. You do not want to be the guy responsible for maintaining the yacht and paying the taxes and harbor fees.

Having chosen the right yacht decades ago, I don't quite agree. If you choose the right boat for your needs, it can be well worthwhile. Otherwise, if you want to day-sail on the lake without a lot of cost and effort, and you have a yacht that takes a crew to keep it going; or if you want to travel the world and you've got a day-sailor; or for that matter if you want a relaxing cruise and you have a performance racing boat that needs constant attention and heavy maintenance, and even then isn't comfortable, committing to buying that boat is a big mistake.

Wife: noun - See "boat"

Yacht

Something about a hole in the water that you throw money into?
