Thank you for your much-needed clarification. I have said the same since...forever, it seems.
Now if we could just get the left to stop misusing the word “fascist”.
Not to mention that our beloved Nation is a REPUBLIC, and emphatically NOT A DEMOCRACY.
(Yes, it has elements of a democracy, but at its heart, by careful design, it is a republic.)
If I had a nickel for every time some misguided soul blathered on about how America is a democracy, ... well, I'd have a big pile of nickels, anyway.
