These are construction projects authorised by Obama, not new sections of wall Trump has negotiated to get.
When Trump gets new money to build additional sections of wall - that’s when we have reason to celebrate, not when he just continues Obama’s projects.

Some FReepers are going completely negative too soon - it is premature to turn on Trump - if he caves on the 2018 appropriations for the wall then all of this negativity might be more appropriate.
Trump is a builder - he will build the wall.
I’ll also share what I share with another last night attempting to pass off this kinnard the wall was being built.
The presser was an absolute joke! Our President is a businessman I’d expect if it were TRULY being built for the SOLE PURPOSE of border security (notice kept repeating levee in his conference) then you’d see a couple slides representing a plan with timeline laid out showing sectors being built, companies hired to do it and an estimated completion date.
Quite frankly the conference you are referencing is garbage. If I walked into an exec room today in my present job trying to sell that bill of goods I’d expect to be tossed out on my a$$.

Yes. He re-used an image that was taken back in 2016. Per the link I gave, it was already published on the Customs and Border Patrol website Sept 13th 2016. Exact same image.
It’s part of a levee-wall building project in Hidalgo County, Texas. They held the groundbreaking ceremony for the first of these levee walls back in 2009:

These aren’t new projects that have started since Trump took office, they’ve been underway for years.

Waiting to see what happens with the wall funding until the 2018 budget appropriations negotiations occur is not necessarily hero worship.
The swamp is vast and wide and will take some time to get properly drained.
The “republican” congress is a cesspool of obstruction and we Trump supporters need to remember what he is up against before we turn negative.

The falsehood is the anti-Trumpers trying to make this an issue to divide Trump Supporters. First, this was not the budget, it was only a continuing resolution to keep the govt from shutting down because the Obama Admin overspent the funds.
Second, Its a continuation of the last budget allocations as they were - It does have additional riders, more money for the military, more money for border security, school choice, etc it did not cut sanctuary city funding, it did not cut PP. those were in the “budget” already from before.
Stop buying what the Globalists are selling This was not a budget, it was ONLY a continuing Resolution to keep the existing budget going until Oct.
Does it contain the level of funding they wanted for the military? Does it contain any of the cuts to domestic spending that they wanted? Does it continue to fund Obamacare? Does it continue to fund Planned Parenthood? Does it continue to fund public broadcasting, the NEA, and the NEH? Does it contain $2 billion in additional funding for the National Institute of Health instead of the $6 billion in cuts the administration wanted? The answers to all those questions is why it’s not fake news to claim the Democrats won this one.
If I express discontent about this budget deal, it is because I am discontented about this budget deal. If I am quick to blame, it is because I have already spent years watching Republicans fail to do the things they promise us and I don’t want to see that failure continue any longer.
We gave them the House, we gave them the Senate and we gave them the WH. Yes, I do expect them to give us actual progress in return and no, I am not going to accept failure and excuses instead. If saying that here makes me a troll, then so be it.
