Your post reminds me of a recent article here, about how Baltimore City has “an image problem”. And city officials in Baltimore City were concerned about how many families with children, had moved out of Baltimore City in recent decades. And they wanted to take actions to turn around that trend. I think the mayor wanted a movement to get people moving back into to Baltimore
The cold hard facts stated here are one key indicator of why people want to move away.
Last week, my wife’s female cousin was in town for work. Her meetings were at a hotel downtown near the stadiums and Inner Harbor. We met her for dinner and she mentioned taking a five mile run that morning.
I said (Downtown?” She told me it was on a treadmill.
Whew.
Even though we were in a very populated area, I made sure my knife was very accessible, cause honest folks can’t carry guns in Maryland. We wouldn’t want to help stop the crime problem would we.
Even though I fully realize that the vast majority of street crime is thug on thug, one must still be ever vigilant.
