May 1 - The US Supreme Court on Monday left intact California's ban on "gay conversion" therapy aimed at turning youths under age 18 away from homosexuality, rejecting a Christian minister's challenge to the law asserting it violates religious rights.
The justices, turning away a challenge to the 2012 law for the second time in three years, let stand a lower court's ruling that it was constitutional and neither impinged upon free exercise of religion nor impacted the activities of clergy members.

Why is it legal to convert a normal person into a sexual deviate but not legal to try to convert the person back to normality?

Shrinks are allowed to “help” kooks who want to be turned from men into women. How could it be illegal for doctors to help sick people who want to be normal?
The headline is confusing. Actually, if I understand this correctly, the court simply decided not to hear the case. Their reasons are not given, but it may simply be a matter of state’s rights. If Californians want to be idiots, that’s their privilege.
Actually, too, most psychiatrists I have known have been idiots. A preacher or a sensible person talking to the gay in question may be more helpful—and charge much less.
It’s ok to indoctrinate them into being homosexuals but not ok to help them go back. Gotcha.
The soft science of the development of same-sex attraction syndrome is true.
People can be born with certain traits, and when placed into a certain environment/family situation can lead to same-sex attraction syndrome.
This syndrome is curable, but NOT promoted as such anymore once the APA figured out ('70's? '80's?) that they could keep people in the syndrome and make a TON of money with PERPETUAL shrink sessions, thereby never healing the syndrome and the whole person.

I think the qualifying word would be ‘for pay.’ In other words, a paid counselor, psychologist, or medical person.
At least that’s what they say now. Count on them construing this to mean any effort to help youth overcome same-sex attraction. It’s coming.
Facts like that are irrelevant to a culture that has been brainwashed into a state of transhumanist/postgenderist psychosis.

If it does not effect the activities of clergy, then conversion therapy is not illegal for Christian organizations. Christian leaders do not need to avoid the subject of redemption and change. This law effects secularists.
